Neha adjusted the saree pleat on her bosom. She walked up the path to the building. Getting in was quite a task as high rises in the smart cities of Mumbai needed proper identity cards. New maids seeking fresh work had to wait for days before they were even allowed to enter the premises. On her previous visits she was told that a maid was needed on the 25th floor. Most of the new maids waited outside the skyscrapers enquiring for work, weeks before they actually got them.

She had been stalking this particular building for some time now. She was a new face in the vicinity and the guards grilled her on the occasions she wanted an entry. Getting in seemed impossible but giving up easily was not her. She planned to visit the building every four days to try her luck. On one occasion she saw her chance. The moment came after weeks of observing the high rise's security system.

"I heard that there is a maid required on the 25th floor of this building?" She addressed the burly security guy in olive green uniform at the entrance, as she prayed standing there with bated breath.
