Every night, as the dead tired homemaker,

Who slogs each of her muscle and tissue

To pull off all the chores,

Crashes into her bed, only to spend

Some quality time with herself!


Sometimes she explores the pictures from Google backup,

While other times she scrolls through social media!


Just like the pendulum of the clock fails to halt at centre position,

She fails to love her present avatar!


She either craves the young, dynamic and outspoken version of herself!

Or cribs over being deficit of all the luxuries her friend her age have!


Eventually, she keeps swinging between the past and the future,





Author Bio

Nilshree, an engineer by qualification and profession, embarked on a writing journey after a maternity break in 2015. Since 2018, she has self-published six books, including two anthologies she compiled, edited, and co-authored. Additionally, Nilshree leads a quarterly e-magazine and hosts "Authoropod," a podcast dedicated to authors. With a commitment to daily skill enhancement, she endeavors to elevate her ordinary life with extraordinary achievements.
